The 25th anniversary of the Milton Times was an event the staff of the newspaper planned to mark with a party that was to have benefitted a drive to digitize the earlier copies of the paper.
The paper has been digitized for the last 10 years but the first issues are beginning to crumble.
Due to the Coronavirus the party has been cancelled.
The second Annual Blue Hills Winter Soupfest, sponsored by the Wakefield Estate Charitable Trust took place on Saturday, March 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The proceeds will support the Wakefield Estate’s environmental education programs.

The Friends of the Blue Hills have cancelled or postponed all events due to COVID-19.
They will announce their calendar when the crisis passes.
Sculptor Peter Berman and artist Tom Maholchic, both originally from Milton displayed their works of art at the Wotiz Gallery at the Milton Public Library.
But the library closed shortly after the exhibit was installed. The pair were featured together in June 2019 at the Savin Gallery in Dorchester. Their latest joint works include media from each of their specialties shown adjacently to each other.

Children’s entertainer and musician Matt Heaton may be performing with his group, The Outside Toys at the Sunshine School, 610 Adams Street, Milton on Sunday, April 5 at 3 p.m.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 per person, $30 maximum per family, with children under age two at no cost.
